Hi, I’m Tom Lampl
I started tying flies 25 years ago as a way to unwind and get more connected to the fish I love to chase. Over the years, what began as a hobby turned into something much bigger than me. These days, I give away about 95% of the flies I tie.
Why? Because I believe fly fishing has given me so much and I want to give something back.
I donate bundled fly boxes to local charitable organizations, who use them to support conservation and community work through fundraising events. It’s a small way to support causes I care about and share the joy of fly fishing with others.
As John Bunyan once said,
“You have not lived today
until you have done Something
for someone who
can never repay you.”
“You have not lived today
until you have done
Something for someone
who can never
repay you.”
(my mother’s favorite quote)
That line has stayed with me over the years, and it speaks to the quiet joy I find in giving these flies away.
This website is here to give a little structure to what’s otherwise a very humble operation. Over the years my donations have helped raise funds for groups including;

If your organization would like to receive a donated fly box to offer at a fundraiser or event, feel free to get in touch — I’d love to support your cause.
And if you’re part of the fly fishing industry and offer pro deals or sponsorships on materials like hooks, boxes, or tying supplies, I’d be grateful for the opportunity to connect.
Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line.
